Tips On Running To Win Distance Races
Another thing about the mornings is,“it’s your time” the time you have set aside, for you. So whatever unfolds throughout the day your run has already been taken care of. If some thing in your job or personal life comes up it doesn't matter.
You can look at it like putting money into your savings account. Pay yourself first instead of last. When you do run into heavy hour weeks to where you can't squeeze in your run this is what you do. When in a parking lot park far away, so you can jog a little to the entrance wherever you’re going in to. In a many floor story building, take the stairs for your run! Yard work and mowing. Run! Run your run at lunch time. Run your run before going to work. Yes, it probably will be dark. But you should be able to run from your memory since you mapped your run out, at one time. I did say this wasn't for everybody. But, it's what I did. I can not lie.
You want to win races or not? You want to be a winner, that’s what it takes dedication. Sorry, dedication is a "key ingredient" for runners. I usually assigned Sundays as my track day for repeats. But if you didn’t make it and have access to track lights, do it! No lights leave your car lights shinning on the track.
Now for you secret weapon! Treadmill! I bet you knew that. The absolute number seven top tip for you is, none of the above applies if you own a treadmill. Good luck with your run, just be sure to run your own race. And of coarse when the racing days end some day, always continues to run 4 your life.

Runner's Running Shoe & Signature Like Taylor Swift!
One of the most important factors to a runner is in choosing a pair of running shoes. It does not matter if you are a homemaker mom or an Olympic runner, you must find the proper running shoe just for you. You want to find the perfect balancing point between the weight of the running shoe and the performance. Three other factors to consider are cost and if you like what they look like and how long do they last. What materials they're made of. Some running shoes have more bouncy than others.
I also like to read who's endorsing the running shoes and how long it took to break them in. Yes, it's true. Even new running shoes take a couple weeks to break in because some times you might get a blister. A good blister could take out a week of your training. The way I break them in is to start by wearing them around the house or when going shopping something like that. Blisters are not good if you have been waiting to run in a particular again this year. Then ten days before the race, guess what? Yes, you get a big one and you know you could have avoided it!
Your athletic running shoes are defiantly not a piece of your equipment you want to cut corners with. That is of course unless your local clearance running shoes or your city discounted running shoe store has your certain running shoe. The wrong running shoes can make you lose a race! Yes it's definitely true! Those few ounces saved over the course of a 10k race add up to many pounds of weight you would not have had to carry across the finish line!
My wife gets her best womens running shoes for herself and I have to get a particular running shoe for flat feet. Yes I do, that has been passed down to me from generation to generation. Would you believe many years ago runners and football players ran in leather shoes! Yikes! Ouch!
As you can plainly see running shoes are a very personal thing to us runners you and me. I know this may surprise you but this is a running tips article and you are my reader, so I can only tell you the most personal things about a pair of running shoes. It took me a good four years to find my certain shoe. Yes four years! Once finding them I never changed again. So for the last 15 years I've stuck with the same running shoe. There are only a few pieces of running equipment a runner has to have so I'll mention it one more time.
Your running shoes are like an extensive of you body. It's like you hair. Your hair is an extension of you. It's what you are all about. They're your signature, it's you! They're like Taylor Swift and her boots! Or like the song picking out a "face in a crowd of people". Except it's running shoes! The runners could not see your face but they could see your shoes. They could see the brand and guess what? Yes, they could most likely know who those running shoes belonged to!

Passionate Adult Runners
intense, reason and a why or why not?
Prior to becoming a runner to tell you the truth when seeing a runner pass by I thought it was such a waste of time! Wikipedia says: Passion (emotion) feeling very strongly about a subject or person, usually referring to feelings of intense desire and attraction, be very passionate about something. Stoic passions various forms of emotional suffering. Passions (philosophy) for the place of passions in ethical and moral philosophy and theosophy. After I became a runner I found the answer. A few of the best answers I can give to you are very near. The world is filled with people who describe who they are by what they do.
Allow me to paint a picture. A picture says a thousand words. I would speculate ninety percent of all people are what they are by no reason of choice. Let's say a man catches fish for a living is he a fisherman? A person who banks for a living is he a banker? One more. Is a singer of music a recording artist? You know the type if they don't even need the accompaniment of a band. Do these hold the passion and pride of their art? I believe the answers to all these questions are obvious to the
observer.
You know when they are a gifted one...in the likes of Patsy Cline. In the world of golf it could be...the artistry of Tiger Woods. How about in the world of running. Passionate runners could be none other than Steve Prefontaine and Bill Rogers. The answer can cover from cross country runners to famous runners. Oriental runners and men's runners too! Passionate adult runners can be from as many different runners as there are blades of grass. Yet we all hold common ground amongst us all. The holder of...the passion of running. The art the pride and...the passion of the run!

Can Vitamins Make You Run Faster?
Some of the aspects you can control to make you a faster runner is long runs and repeats at track sessions. Longer runs make you a stronger runner so in turn you can keep building faster tempo runs. Faster tempos allow you to develop faster repeats. Through you’re running formulas you do finally get to the point that you are getting faster. You will be seeing the difference on time clocks at your next race.
Allow me put this into perspective of how vitamins can make you faster. I know you just had to read this because vitamins cannot make you faster. No not directly, but by indirect means they can! It took me a long time to really understand this. If you miss very much of your training you’ll see slow times on race day. So by now you get to thinking why would you miss any training days?
Well that can be any number of a dozen different things. I use to never have enough time to get my runs in. However, I made the time because I knew it would show on the time clock! Some times I found myself running at lunch. Some times I ran after dark. Then sometimes I ran before work. I could always change my training days around if I needed to. This meant my long run might fall on a Saturday or a Sunday or a Tuesday.
Now we are down to why would you miss any of your training days? Of course! Sickness! Yes, that is how you would miss training days if you were sick with a cold or the flue or any number of things. I did forget one other thing that would cause you to miss a training day and that is injuries. But injuries are a whole other ball of wax we won’t talk about them today.
See you actually do have many reasons that could actually knock you off your schedule but we are runners and we keep on running! This is what it takes to be a competitive runner at any age group competition. We get to the part here about vitamins and running. There’s no question running will deplete you of vitamins so we will watch our diet and stay in charge of that.
Some of my favorite snacks are apricots. They are rich in iron. You can loose a lot of iron in your long runs. Another one is wheat germ. You can sprinkle that on your cereal in the mornings. Cashew nuts and liver those are just a couple more. Runners know it’s easy to loose too much weight too fast. That’s why we must make it a habit to weight every morning. If you are down more than three pounds than the previous day then you have lost too many fluids. Drink up!
One of the easiest ways to maintain your needed intake of vitamins is to add nutritional supplements into you diet. It’s not very likely you’re able to eat a bushel full of vegetables a day like the USDA requirements say that’s what it takes to keep a strong body healthy and build a runners strong immune system. TriVita nutritional supplements are an excellent source. We don’t want to get sick because we’ll miss training days. Missing training days is going to cost you seconds off the time clock on race days. If your passion is winning races then fast runners you'll become and I'll look over your shoulder to cheer you on!

Energy and Metabolism: How is Your Energy Level?
The World Health Organization (WHO) states, "Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. It is the ability to lead a socially and economically productive life."
Does that describe you? Or, like many people in North America, are you just too tired to think about being "socially and economically productive?"
If you feel too tired to do much more than read this article, don't feel alone. Up to 85% of the people that visit a doctor for any reason also complain of being chronically tired. It seems that we are in the middle of an energy crisis that has nothing to do with petroleum production!
When we talk about energy we need to distinguish the difference between the ability to survive and the feeling of being energetic. We must admit that even the sickest person is converting nutrients to energy in order to survive. Yet, we want to do more than survive - we want to feel energetic. We want to have the energy to dream and then have the energy to live those dreams. We want to feel our best every day. Is that possible?
Eating for energy: fats, protein, and carbohydrates
As I mentioned, energy comes from the way our bodies burn nutrients such as fats, protein, and carbohydrates. These nutrients must be metabolized. The word metabolism is from a Greek word that describes the process of creating energy from food. This description gives us the first hint as to how we can create and sustain an energetic feeling - by balancing our diet every day.
A balanced diet must include:
7 to 9 servings of fruit and vegetables (for adults)
30+ grams of high quality protein
20 to 35 grams of fiber daily
Sugars from the foods we eat provide us with ready energy, but it doesn't last very long. Proteins are converted to energy at a much slower pace and provide us with a more stable supply of energy - five times as much energy per gram as sugar.
However, when it comes to providing energy, fat is the undisputed champion. Fat provides us with stamina. It burns slowly and steadily up to 8 times longer than sugar. So for stamina that lasts all day and into the evening hours, select foods high in "good" fats.
Many experts say that we should get as much as 30% of our total calories per day from fat. This may mean more than 70 grams of fat for a 2,200 calorie per day diet. That's a lot of fat! But don't reach for the French fries just yet. You see, all foods contain fat. Fat is as important for plants as it is for humans. So, select fats from foods that are known for high energy, such as vegetables, seeds, nuts, legumes, and certain types of fish.
Take Control of Your Health
When frustration drains your energy: immediately drink 2 glasses of water.
When anxiety and tension prevent you from enjoying the moment: 10 minutes of deep breathing will cut your stress in half!
When fatigue seems insurmountable: a brisk walk in the open air will revive you.
When mental fog descends and clouds your thinking: a cup of green or ginseng tea will cut through the fog and brighten your mind.

A Runner's Headache
I did experience if I was fixing to go on a run and I already had a headache. I would be sure and take my pain medication before the run, because if I didn’t my headache would get worse throughout the course of the run. Other than that, I‘ve actually experienced no form of running brought on the headache. Meaning no speed work, no distance, no climate and nothing I ate made any difference.
Though when going to some races when talking to some other runner’s sometimes one of them said they have experienced their encounters of some runs bringing a sudden headache on. This was less than five people over twenty years or more.
Headaches and the common cold has been a problem with man since the beginning of time. In prehistoric times they drilled a hole in the skull to let the evil spirits out! I wouldn’t try that one! A migraine headache is also known as a sick headache that usually comes on in periodic attacks. Some suffer from sinus headaches. I had the sinus surgery one time. That didn’t help headaches in my case.
Fatigue headaches are said to come from overwork. Of course some sleep and rest should take of that. Another type of headache that comes on to some people is called a hunger headache. These can often be cured by simply eating just a few crackers or some tea or even coffee. However, in some people they have become so dependent on their fix of caffeine that when they don’t get their daily intake of the lack of caffeine, actually brings a headache on. This is a vicious cycle that is hard to break. But, with strong will power this cycle can be broken over a few months by keeping a close eye on using less and less intake of caffeine in colas and coffee.
My primary experience has been with muscle tension headaches. At least that is what I was diagnosed. Plus secondary of a combination of many of the others. Eye strain can bring on a headache. Even if the prescription of your glasses may have gotten too weak for you can bring on a headache. Load noise can bring on headaches to some as well as anxiety and blood pressure just to name a few. I almost forgot one…cluster headaches, this is one to not over look as this could be the early signs of a tumor.
Believe it or not there are some people who claim to never have had, not one headache in their entire lives! To people who have never had one, they can’t possibly understand what one is like? Can you imagine having a treating doctor who never has and your dependent on him to prescribe you your medications!
In closing we should always be on the lookout because headaches can be the symptoms of a disease. Headaches can be the warnings of meningitis, malaria, smallpox and typhoid. The headache is saying hey! There is something wrong here! A few more warning signs of headaches can also be a signs of high blood pressure and kidney disease. There are ship loads of information if your want to dig even deeper at The National Headache Foundation.
