Efficient Running and Racing Tips
Every time a runner takes in a breath, fresh air containing oxygen is entering the lungs. The oxygen seeps through thin walls of air sacs, their capillaries and is absorbed by the blood. The blood then carries oxygen to all parts of the body. Waste material carbon dioxide is expelled as the air is breathed out.
The process of taking air into the lungs is known as inspiration and that of breathing out is called expiration. The two together is called respiration. Ordinary breathing of an adult is about eighteen inspirations and expirations every minute. However, a well conditioned efficient runner will be less because his body has become so efficient from efficient training methods.
To run as efficiently as possible we must remember many body functions are going on at the same time. Running, especially long distance running is all about controlling your mind. Control your mind and you will control your breathing. Control your breathing and you’ll control your running. Contrary to what non-runners think, you will not run out of air in a marathon.
Another key element to the efficient runner is, mastering leg strength. Make sure you have enough leg strength to carry you thru the entire course of the race. Leg strength is the problem not running out of air. If you have banked your long runs from a six month build up preceding race day, you’ll have more than enough air in your efficient running body. Do plenty of hill work and intervals at a nearby track and you’ll maintain all the leg strength it takes. My ultimate tip for you in mastering efficient running is, yoga should be worked into your schedule. Find a good yoga book and you’ll become a top runner in your age group.
You already know you must run as relaxed as possible. You’re constantly doing checks and balances as you’re going through various stages of the race. If you turn on too much speed, you take a chance of not having enough strength for a strong finish. If you go too slow the competitors on your heals will pass you up!
A efficient master runner is in total focus between his breathing, hand height, pacing, comfort, rhythm, foot height off the ground and stride length. He’s in tune with where he’s at on the course and among the other runners.
Visualization has always worked for me and piers before me. Run these races in your own mind and where you want to be a various stages in the race numerous times before race day. Run the race you have trained for by “running your race” and not that of the other runners in the race. Though you’re in a field of hundreds or thousands of other runners, you must not be influenced by their tactics. Here’s to you being, an efficient runner!

Healthy Heart's Of Runners'
Over time fatty deposits can start to clog the capillaries coming and going from the heart. A large factor for runners is the additional number of capillaries you acquire. The pumping action pulls and pushes the blood flow to your working muscles. The sustained pressure during many months of long runs forces small tongues of capillaries into your muscles cells.
Runners that run races want a heart that’s as strong as it can be. As you run faster you’ll notice a faster pumping action of your heart. This is good. When you run regularly, your body will increase the volume of blood to your cells. The result is more flow of oxygen to a greater number of cells all over your body. With less squeezes, the fit heart will accomplish more work and your resting pulse rate will go down. In turn helping them to work at full capacity, while you get a runner’s healthy heart to boot!
In a race you will easily be able to tell the runners who have been conditioning their heart the longest. Some runners will be huffing and puffing, while the fittest runners will not have even broken a sweat yet!
All in all running is just a great conditioner for your runner’s healthy heart as well as all parts of your body. A well conditioned heart will bring many years of running and racing enjoyment.

Envision The Runner You Want To Be!
All new thoughts and ideas are built on a strong foundation or it will collapse. You can go to any construction site downtown you can predict how high a skyscraper will be, by judging how deep the foundation is. The deeper the foundation the taller the building will be. The foundation of every great venture begins in your mind.
Your mind is the most powerful gift you have. Napoleon Hill once said, “The imagination is the most marvelous, miraculous and inconceivable force the world has ever known”. To realize the full power of your mind, it’s important to understand there are three main parts of it. The conscious mind is the part that thinks and reasons. The subconscious mind is the part that carry’s out the commands given by the conscious mind. Lastly, the body is part of the mind too. It carry’s out the consistent thoughts we put upon it.
If you impress confusion you will realize confusion. If you envision focus on a goal, you will experience success! Your success then, is a direct reflection of the thoughts you consistently held on to. If you’ll continue to hold clear and powerful thoughts, this is the greatest cornerstone for all successful marketing professionals. Envision your life where you want to be, it will come to pass.
When you do decide to start a home based business of any kind, if this is what you are going to do.You must take it serious even though it’s at home. To get yourself in the right frame of mind you should have a dedicated phone line. Business letterheads, business cards and even a business checking account. This will help you out anyway at tax time. The most important result of the items I mentioned is the fact that it tells your conscious and subconscious mind that you really are in business. Continue to envision the life of your own, you will get there.
Finding your why. A purpose is more compelling than a goal. The power of your mind can work for or against you. All depending on how you use it. If you constantly think about what you don’t want then you’ll have a strong likelihood of creating what you don’t want. One must focus on what you really want. Something that creates the passion the core desire.
For the long-term motivation the why needs to be something far greater than a new toy or a higher income. Your true purpose tells you what you want to contribute. We all have a higher need to do something meaningful. Once clearly defined, your purpose will keep you motivated for action. Even when you face set-backs, in which you surely will. Envision the life you see, you’ll get there every time!
ideas start at the same place regardless of what part of the world they’re in. That place being is in the mind. A single thought, a cell thousands of times smaller in size in some ones head.Tuesday, June 16, 2009
Tips On Running To Win Distance Races
Another thing about the mornings is,“it’s your time” the time you have set aside, for you. So whatever unfolds throughout the day your run has already been taken care of. If some thing in your job or personal life comes up it doesn't matter.
You can look at it like putting money into your savings account. Pay yourself first instead of last. When you do run into heavy hour weeks to where you can't squeeze in your run this is what you do. When in a parking lot park far away, so you can jog a little to the entrance wherever you’re going in to. In a many floor story building, take the stairs for your run! Yard work and mowing. Run! Run your run at lunch time. Run your run before going to work. Yes, it probably will be dark. But you should be able to run from your memory since you mapped your run out, at one time. I did say this wasn't for everybody. But, it's what I did. I can not lie.
You want to win races or not? You want to be a winner, that’s what it takes dedication. Sorry, dedication is a "key ingredient" for runners. I usually assigned Sundays as my track day for repeats. But if you didn’t make it and have access to track lights, do it! No lights leave your car lights shinning on the track.
Now for you secret weapon! Treadmill! I bet you knew that. The absolute number seven top tip for you is, none of the above applies if you own a treadmill. Good luck with your run, just be sure to run your own race. And of coarse when the racing days end some day, always continues to run 4 your life.

Runner's Running Shoe & Signature Like Taylor Swift!
One of the most important factors to a runner is in choosing a pair of running shoes. It does not matter if you are a homemaker mom or an Olympic runner, you must find the proper running shoe just for you. You want to find the perfect balancing point between the weight of the running shoe and the performance. Three other factors to consider are cost and if you like what they look like and how long do they last. What materials they're made of. Some running shoes have more bouncy than others.
I also like to read who's endorsing the running shoes and how long it took to break them in. Yes, it's true. Even new running shoes take a couple weeks to break in because some times you might get a blister. A good blister could take out a week of your training. The way I break them in is to start by wearing them around the house or when going shopping something like that. Blisters are not good if you have been waiting to run in a particular again this year. Then ten days before the race, guess what? Yes, you get a big one and you know you could have avoided it!
Your athletic running shoes are defiantly not a piece of your equipment you want to cut corners with. That is of course unless your local clearance running shoes or your city discounted running shoe store has your certain running shoe. The wrong running shoes can make you lose a race! Yes it's definitely true! Those few ounces saved over the course of a 10k race add up to many pounds of weight you would not have had to carry across the finish line!
My wife gets her best womens running shoes for herself and I have to get a particular running shoe for flat feet. Yes I do, that has been passed down to me from generation to generation. Would you believe many years ago runners and football players ran in leather shoes! Yikes! Ouch!
As you can plainly see running shoes are a very personal thing to us runners you and me. I know this may surprise you but this is a running tips article and you are my reader, so I can only tell you the most personal things about a pair of running shoes. It took me a good four years to find my certain shoe. Yes four years! Once finding them I never changed again. So for the last 15 years I've stuck with the same running shoe. There are only a few pieces of running equipment a runner has to have so I'll mention it one more time.
Your running shoes are like an extensive of you body. It's like you hair. Your hair is an extension of you. It's what you are all about. They're your signature, it's you! They're like Taylor Swift and her boots! Or like the song picking out a "face in a crowd of people". Except it's running shoes! The runners could not see your face but they could see your shoes. They could see the brand and guess what? Yes, they could most likely know who those running shoes belonged to!

Passionate Adult Runners
intense, reason and a why or why not?
Prior to becoming a runner to tell you the truth when seeing a runner pass by I thought it was such a waste of time! Wikipedia says: Passion (emotion) feeling very strongly about a subject or person, usually referring to feelings of intense desire and attraction, be very passionate about something. Stoic passions various forms of emotional suffering. Passions (philosophy) for the place of passions in ethical and moral philosophy and theosophy. After I became a runner I found the answer. A few of the best answers I can give to you are very near. The world is filled with people who describe who they are by what they do.
Allow me to paint a picture. A picture says a thousand words. I would speculate ninety percent of all people are what they are by no reason of choice. Let's say a man catches fish for a living is he a fisherman? A person who banks for a living is he a banker? One more. Is a singer of music a recording artist? You know the type if they don't even need the accompaniment of a band. Do these hold the passion and pride of their art? I believe the answers to all these questions are obvious to the
observer.
You know when they are a gifted one...in the likes of Patsy Cline. In the world of golf it could be...the artistry of Tiger Woods. How about in the world of running. Passionate runners could be none other than Steve Prefontaine and Bill Rogers. The answer can cover from cross country runners to famous runners. Oriental runners and men's runners too! Passionate adult runners can be from as many different runners as there are blades of grass. Yet we all hold common ground amongst us all. The holder of...the passion of running. The art the pride and...the passion of the run!
